WHAT DO WE WANT TO KNOW?
To work with a real client.
Work on sustainable solutions.
Have a realistic design.
Design on a professional level.
To have a final end result.
To do something that has never been done before.
Learn new design theories/methodologies.
Have the freedom to choose the media within the project.
Learn how to budget a project.
Know how the construction really works.
Being thoughtful and “meaning full” with the feedback.
Having ongoing feedback throughout the semester.
Learn how to work with others – teamwork methods.
Interact with other studios during the semester – 3rd & 4th years.

HOW DO WE WANT TO LIVE?
Have different groups than past semesters.
Have rotating groups during the semester.
Draw cards to determine the groups.
Have categories (themes) that people fit into and then rotate those categories.
Use the blog interactively.
Have examples of other peoples work as examples on the blog.

Welcome to a studio for Interior Architecture. This will be an opportunity for further development of your design knowledge and skills while unfolding the design of an educational facility in Greensboro, NC.

GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL

The studio will meet in accord with the University schedule with all students expected to be in attendance.

Evaluation will follow University standards as described in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Undergraduate Bulletin 2006-2007.

Each individual will meet with faculty at designated times during the semester for an evaluation discussion resulting in a grade for the work accomplished to that date.

Come to all classes, fully complete all assignments, meaningful studio participation, meet all deadlines = B
